Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood admits his side's chances of gaining automatic promotion look bleak after the 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers.

The Reds impressed in the first half and went 1-0 up but Rovers hit back to leave Forest nine points off the top-two with only four games remaining.

"It looks a long way away," Calderwood told BBC Radio Nottingham.

"But we've been trying to gain momentum towards the play-offs and we just need to make sure we secure that position."
