Norwich playmaker Wes Hoolahan believes the Canaries are better suited to a diamond formation in midfield.
Paul Lambert's men lost to Doncaster last week using a more conventional four-man midfield, but reverted to the diamond in Saturday's win at Preston.
The 28-year-old told BBC Radio Norfolk: "It gets me on the ball higher up the pitch creating chances for the team.
"It gets me in the box more than playing 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 and it worked out well (against Preston)."
The Irishman occupies the most advanced position in the four-man diamond, a formation which helped City to the League One title last season.
It's easier to catch the eye in the Championship, it's a tougher league and there's more people watching than in League One.

The midfielder, who arrived at Carrow Road in the summer of 2008, hopes his Norwich form will help him add to his solitary Republic of Ireland cap.
"There's an international in two or three weeks, I've been playing well and obviously I'd like to be involved," added Hoolahan.
"I'll keep playing well for Norwich and hopefully it will come. It's easier to catch the eye in the Championship, it's a tougher league and there's more people watching than in League One."
