Norwich City boss Paul Lambert hails 'vital' team trip
Lambert won the European Cup with Borussia Dortmund
Norwich City's one-week training camp in Germany is crucial to the squad's Championship preparations, according to boss Paul Lambert.
The Canaries beat local non-league side Dereham Town 3-1 in a friendly on before jetting off to Bonn on Sunday.
When asked about the trip Lambert told BBC Radio Norfolk: "It's vital.
"When we go away on Sunday we'll have everyone and we'll try and bond them together and create the spirit that's held us in good stead so far."
He added: "You've got to get the spirit there and get them playing the way we want them to play."
The City boss has been prolific in the transfer market so far this summer, adding six new names to his squad.
Everybody just wants the first game to come. It's going to be really tough but we've earned the right to play in that league

But the former Borussia Dortmund midfielder has made it clear he wants to fill one more seat on-board the plane to Germany.
"We'll try and get one more in and if we can do it then great, if not then it's fine but I'll try everything I can to do it," he said.
"The ones who have come in have been a great ally to the ones that are already here.
"Training's been really high-tempo, they've worked really hard and we'll try our best to keep driving on."
The Canaries have been on their Colney training ground since Monday, working on match fitness, and are still feeling the buzz of winning the League One title last season.
