Norwich City have begun making plans for their return to the Championship after clinching the League One title.

Majority shareholder Michael Wynn Jones said talks were already under way with manager Paul Lambert about plans for next season.

He told BBC Radio Norfolk: "We have already been talking to Paul obviously, but we can sit down now and really find out who he needs, who he doesn't need.

"We've made steps in that direction but it has to be finalised."

Wynn Jones also paid tribute to Lambert who joined City a week after masterminding Colchester's opening day 7-1 win at Carrow Road.

"He's made every difference," he said.

"He's taken us from a 7-1 defeat to 2-0 to clinch the title and that is entirely due to him. He's brought it around.

"He'll be the first to admit he'd never have done this without the players and their effort, and they'd all admit they couldn't have done it without the supporters."
