Wes Hoolahan targets League One title for Norwich City
Hoolahan's Carrow Road future was in doubt at the start of the season
Norwich City forward Wes Hoolahan says the team have set their sights on becoming League One champions.
Saturday's 3-0 win over Yeovil helped the Canaries open up a seven-point lead over Leeds, who drew with Brentford.
And Hoolahan told BBC Radio Norfolk: "It's in touching distance, we've got to keep focussed, in the next few weeks there's important games coming up.
"If we don't lose any of those games and keep winning we've a fantastic chance of finishing top."
Hoolahan, who scored his first goal of 2010 against the Glovers, believes City's next three games will be crucial to their title ambitions.
"It's going to be difficult, we have Huddersfield away, Swindon away and then Leeds here at home, but we'll go into them confidently and hopefully pick up a few points," he said.
"It'd be a great achievement to win a league and since we're a bit in front now - seven points but Leeds have a game in hand - we want to win the league."
The 27-year-old Republic of Ireland international was joined on Saturday's scoresheet by Grant Holt and Chris Martin, and boss Paul Lambert's front-three have now scored 60 goals between them in all competitions.
"It's a fantastic record, but it's not just us, people lay on the ball for us, the midfielders work hard for us and create chances," added Hoolahan.
"Credit to them, but it is a fantastic achievement so far."
Hoolahan was dropped when Lambert first joined the club in August, but has since established himself as a key member of the team playing just deep of strikers Holt and Martin.
