Norwich defender Gary Doherty says he was disappointed after their penalty shootout defeat by Southampton in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday.
The Canaries conceded an injury-time goal to leave the sides level at 2-2 before losing 6-5 on penalties.
Doherty, who scored in the game, told BBC Radio Norfolk: "We want to win every game and it's disappointing to lose in, what was, the last minute."
"We've now got two massive games over Christmas and we need six points."
The Canaries, who are out of all cup competitions, host Huddersfield on Saturday before welcoming Millwall to Carrow Road on Boxing Day.
Huddersfield are just two places below Norwich in the League One table and have only lost once in their last eight games.
Millwall are also in the mix for a play-off place, just seven points behind the Canaries.
Southampton will now face Milton Keynes Dons in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Southern Section final.
