"I think he's on 12 already, that's been a massive help for us and obviously he played a big part in us winning this game."
Under Paul Lambert's management Martin is enjoying his first consistent run in the Norwich team for two years, having fallen out of favour with former boss Glenn Roeder.
And after witnessing the team's third away win of the season, in a match where they did not perform well, Martin says it is a good sign.
"We always fancy ourselves to score goals with the attacking force that we've got, and I think we're confident coming into every game," he said.
"But we definitely didn't play our best today, we showed that when we're not playing well we stick together, get around each other and put in a battling performance."
The win leaves Norwich just four points off second-placed Charlton, but Martin is not getting too excited just yet.
"We just need to concentrate on our results, keep winning games and I'm sure we'll keep going up the league," he added.
"We can't rely on other teams to slip up, we have to keep winning games ourselves."
