Norwich City have recalled striker Jamie Cureton from his loan spell at Barnsley following the sacking of manager Glenn Roeder.
Cureton, 33, is set to go straight back into the squad for Saturday's game, ironically against the Tykes.
"It was always my first choice to play at Norwich," he told BBC Radio Norfolk.
"If I get a chance, I want to score as many goals as I can for Norwich. It'll be strange to play against Barnsley but we need to get results."
Cureton started the first three games of the season for the Canaries before being sent out on loan by Roeder.

But he is thrilled to return to Carrow Road.
"As soon as they wanted me back I was delighted. I can't wait," he said. "Hopefully I will some part of the game on Saturday.
"It will be strange but I'm a Norwich player and if I get the chance I'll do my job."
