Nicholson turned down a new Aberdeen contract in April (SNS)
Norwich City are not interested in signing Aberdeen's Barry Nicholson, according to manager Glenn Roeder.
The midfielder's agent had claimed the Canaries were interested in signing the out-of-contract 29-year-old, who joined the Dons from Dunfermline in 2005.
But Roeder told the club website: "I have no intention of signing Nicholson.
"I'm unhappy with agents who talk up their players supposedly going to clubs regardless of whether or not any bid has actually been made."
Roeder has denied he has missed out on any signings this summer.
There has not been one player I'm seriously interested in signing who I have missed out on so far

With no new players having joined the club since the end of last season, speculation has been rife about who could be coming to Carrow Road.
They were linked with a move to re-sign former striker Rob Earnshaw, who has joined Nottingham Forest from Derby.
Roeder said: "There has not been one player I'm seriously interested in signing who I have missed out on so far."
Despite the lack of new arrivals so far this summer the Norwich manager has assured fans it will not be long before the club start signing players.
"I am confident players will start arriving within the next three to four weeks.
"For obvious reasons I can't say who they are at the moment because I don't want to alert anyone else to who our targets might be."
