'Major surgery' needed at Norwich
Neil Doncaster
Doncaster has seen Norwich struggle this season
Norwich chief executive Neil Doncaster has promised to find money for new players during the summer.

Canaries manager Glenn Roeder has heavily relied on loan players this season and will need to strengthen his squad for next year's campaign.

Doncaster told BBC Radio Norfolk: "The reality is that there will be major surgery and the board will make as much money available as possible."

City currently have a number of players with contracts that expire this summer.

Glenn Roeder's first task will be to find a new striker. Dion Dublin retires at the end of the season and Ched Evans is only on loan from Manchester City.

Norwich currently have the worst home strike-rate in the Championship, scoring just 19 goals at Carrow Road in as many games.

"Fundamentally what's important is making money available to the manager and then hoping he uses it wisely. What he spends it on is up to him," said Doncaster.
