Dublin will retire at the end of the season

The 38-year-old, who decided to stay for another year last summer, has so far made 725 appearances and scored 231 goals in a career spanning two decades.

Dublin won four England caps and has played for clubs such as Manchester United, Aston Villa and Celtic.

"My body needs a rest. It takes me 40, 45 minutes to get myself ready for training and then start the warm-ups." Dublin told the Eastern Daily Press.

"Even on match days it is the same thing. The physios are doing their best to get me going, they are giving me all the things I need to wear and to use and it is just physically hard to do it.

"Mentally I am fine, physically it takes longer. It is important to go out fit and healthy - I don't want the game to retire me. I want to retire when I am ready to retire.
