Luke Chadwick may have to undergo surgery on his shoulder. The Norwich winger, 27, has been plagued by shoulder problems throughout his career and dislocated a joint during a recent reserve match.
Norwich's reserve-team boss Paul Stephenson told the club's website: "It's unfortunate for the lad.
"What he needs is to work on his rehab - whatever he needs. Does he need an operation or does he need to strengthen it? We'll take it from there."
Chadwick has been limited to just 11 league appearances so far this season.
