On-loan Norwich midfielder Luke Chadwick has been ruled out of action for up to four weeks after undergoing surgery on his gashed knee. The 26-year-old sustained the injury during Sunday's 3-1 derby defeat against Ipswich.
The Stoke winger was forced off after colliding into an advertising board.
"It will be three to four weeks, which is a lot of games to miss and it is a big blow for us," Canaries boss Peter Grant told his club's website.
"Luke should be home from hospital on Tuesday and he'll have to rest a few days because we can't take a chance with it.
"The cut went right through to the knee cap."
