Northampton Town have signed Middlesbrough goalkeeper John Steele on a loan deal until the end of March.
The 19-year-old made his debut in Saturday's win over Cheltenham after being brought in as cover for knee injury victim Chris Dunn.
"I feel we need another keeper on our books for the next few weeks," manager Ian Sampson told the club website.
"Jason has a good pedigree and is obviously well known and highly rated by [assistant manager] Malcolm Crosby."
He added: "We hope Jason can help us out and gain some valuable experience at the same time."
Steele has represented England at junior levels up to the Under-20s.
In May 2007 he was a member of the England Under-17 team that reached the final of the European Championships in Belgium.
And he was captain for the final two qualifying games as England Under-19s reached the finals of the European Under-19 Championships in Ukraine last July.
