Northampton Town have applied to the Football League to switch two of their home League Two fixtures at Sixfields to a Friday night.
The Cobblers want to bring forward the game against Barnet to 4 September and the match with Aldershot Town at Sixfields to 12 February.
"These changes are provisional and have been submitted to the League for approval," said a club spokesman.
Northampton's trip to Grimsby has been shifted to Friday, 2 April.
