Newport County made it two pre-season wins in two days as they beat Caerleon 1-0 at Cold Bath Road on Saturday.

Many of the players not involved in Friday's 2-0 success over a Wolves XI got a run-out at neighbours Caerleon.

Romans goalkeeper James Cairns was kept busy by the Blue Square Bet Premier visitors, denying Charlie Henry, Craig Frater and Jake Harris with good stops.

But a fierce 25-yard shot by midfielder Troy Greening finally got through on 65 minutes to hand Newport victory.
