Tozer in action for Swindon against Forest Green |
Newcastle have signed defender Ben Tozer from Swindon on a four-and-a-half year contract for an undisclosed fee. The 17-year-old had been in talks with the Magpies since the end of December.
Tozer joined the Robins from Plymouth in the summer and was handed his senior debut in the club's League Cup tie against Charlton in August.
Tozer, who made seven first-team appearances for Swindon, is expected to be sent out on loan by Newcastle in order gain more senior experience.

"I have spoken with Sam Allardyce - he's great manager and I'm looking forward
to working with him," said Tozer.
"It's been a brilliant experience at Swindon and I thank them for what they
have done for me, but I'm looking forward to the future."
