Leeds striker Michael Bridges has signed for Newcastle on a three-month loan deal. Bridges moved to Elland Road for 5m under then manager David O'Leary from Sunderland in 1999.
He scored 22 times in his debut season but has struggled to recapture his best form since because of a host of recurring injuries.
The 25-year-old has made the Leeds starting line-up just once this season with five substitute appearances.
