Duffy has scored seven goals in 64 appearances for Morecambe
Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy says that midfielder Mark Duffy has the ability to play at a higher level.
The 24-year-old, who joined the League Two side from non-league Southport in July 2009, has made 14 appearances for the Shrimps this season.
"He's a fantastic footballer and is having a fantastic season," McIlroy told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"He can definitely play higher. His end product lately has been first class and we all know how good he is."
Duffy initially joined Morecambe on loan from the Sandgrounders but made the switch permanent for a fee of £20,000.
"He came from the Conference and people had to realise it would take a bit of time for a player to adapt to League football," added McIlroy.
I know we can do better, which we will, and we'll move up the league as well

Meanwhile, the former Northern Ireland boss is confident his side's fortunes will continue to improve following's Saturday's win over Shrewsbury - their first home victory of the season.
"We've won here now so we can put it to bed and get on with our next game," he said.
"I'm pleased we've now had two wins on the bounce and we've got two clean sheets, but I know we can do better, which we will, and we'll move up the league as well."
