Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy praised the spirit shown by his side during Saturday's 2-1 FA Cup win over Grimsby.
McIlroy had 20 players unavailable for the tie through injury but he was delighted by the effort of the remaining squad members.
"It's tremendous for the squad to show that kind of spirit," McIlroy told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"We couldn't make our full quota of subs because of the situation but I'm delighted for the players."
The former Northern Ireland international feels Aaron Taylor's double at Christie Park on Saturday shows he can become a first-team regular.
The 18-year-old striker has scored three times in 10 appearances for the Shrimps, and his manager feels there more to come from the youngster.
"He's done extremely well, but to be honest I was going to give him a rest.
"But because of the injuries we've got he's had to battle on.
"I'm trying to take him along easily, but he was out there and he's getting better."
