Sammy McIlroy is to remain in charge of Conference promotion hopefuls Morecambe for the rest of the season. The former Northern Ireland manager took over at Christie Park in November after long-serving Shrimps boss Jimmy Harvey suffered a heart attack.
"I am delighted with this decision and I am 100% committed to the job here," said McIlroy, who will continue to be assisted by Mark Lillis.
"Together we are aiming to get Morecambe into the Football League."
McIlroy added: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank the fans for their tremendous support."
Harvey, 47, is recuperating well and will increase his involvement at the club at his own pace as the season progresses.
"This decision gives clarity to all concerned at Christie Park, the management team, playing squad, officials, staff and supporters of the Shrimps," said a club statement.
"It also ensures that Jim Harvey has sufficient time to completely recover from his recent heart attack without having to endure the pressures of the day-to-day management of the football club."
