MK Dons defender Mathias Doumbe says his side will make the most of their first midweek break for a month.
Saturday's 2-0 win over Dagenham was the Dons' ninth game in four weeks.
"It's going to help us a lot, even if the performances are there you're going to have a bit of tiredness," Doumbe, 30, told BBC Three Counties Radio.
"We played all of those games with 13 or 14 players. We'll try to relax a bit, work on the shape and get ready for Bournemouth [on Saturday]."
The Frenchman's header secured a first win in five league games for Karl Robinson's men after Sam Baldock had given them the lead against the Daggers.
It was 21-year-old Baldock's fifth strike of the season and Doumbe has backed him to make a continued impact.
"With his speed if he stays injury free for a season I think he can have a good season," he said.
"He can be really good. His finish was a really good finish. It's not an easy angle when you arrive on your right foot."
While Baldock was among the goals it was another fruitless weekend for fellow front man Jermaine Easter.
The 28-year-old has found the net just twice this season, with both goals coming in the League Cup.
Doumbe, who played with Easter at Plymouth two years ago, is confident the striker will find his scoring touch.
"He keeps on working hard, you see all the time he finds position," he added.
"He's always hanging around the box and the ball just doesn't seem to fall for him at the moment."
