Davis made 225 appearances for the Hatters in seven years

MK Dons have completed the signing of ex-Luton defender Sol Davis on a short-term contract after a successful trial.

Left-back Davis, 29, joins after seven years of service at Kenilworth Road.

Davis told the club website: "Since I was invited to train here I've been really impressed with the sessions the coaching staff have put on.

"I've only signed a short-term deal so I'm hoping to play as many minutes as possible and show the manager I'm worthy of something more long term."

Davis made headlines in October 2006 when he suffered a stroke whilst travelling to an away game at Ipswich.

But after making a full recovery he was back in the Luton squad just two months later.
