MK Dons have signed Chelsea defender Carl Magnay on a one-month loan.

The 20-year-old, who has featured in the Premier League club's reserves this season, is in contention for the Cheltenham game on Saturday.

The central defender was with Leeds as a youngster but won his contract at Chelsea through the national television show Football Icon in 2006.

Meanwhile, Dons midfielder Florian Sturm has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

The 26-year-old, who joined in July 2008 from Swiss side FC Vaduz, made just seven appearances this season but has been plagued by injuries.
