Andrews was rumoured to be set for a reunion with Paul Ince

MK Dons club captain Keith Andrews has been taken off the transfer list following talks with new boss Roberto Di Matteo and chairman Pete Winkelman.

The 27-year-old Irish midfielder had been linked with a move to join old boss Paul Ince at Blackburn Rovers.

However, he played and scored in last week's friendly 2-1 win over Watford.

A statement released on the club website said: "We feel the time is right to reiterate Keith's position as a Milton Keynes Dons player."
