Drissa Diallo is ready and eager for another season with MK Dons
MK Dons defender Drissa Diallo has put a personally frustrating end of season behind him by signing a new deal with the newly-promoted League One team.
Diallo, 35, missed the last two months of the campaign after dislocating his shoulder in March - but has now penned a one-year contract.
"It was a bit frustrating for me injuring my shoulder at an important time," he told the club website.
"But the main thing was to get promoted and I want to play a part next season."
The former Burnley, Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday player told the club's website: "We are at the start of this new club's history.
"After winning our first promotion we want to push on next season. There's massive potential at this club. And I'm delighted to be staying here.
"With the squad we've got I think we can do well in League One. The manager will probably look to add a few players, which makes sense, but I definitely feel we can challenge.
"It was disappointing to miss some of those big games. It was a tough time for me but when you see the delight of the supporters and the players it makes it a bit easier.
"Last season was a memorable season to be part of."
