Millwall have agreed terms to sign Manchester City youngster Ashley Grimes.

The 21-year-old, who has played in midfield and attack, will become a Lions player from 1 July.

Grimes told the club's website: "I see this as a great opportunity to play first-team football for a club that clearly has Championship potential."

"You only have to look at the stadium, the set-up and the manager to see that."

Grimes worked under Millwall boss Kenny Jackett during the latter's spell as youth team coach at Eastlands.
