Bignot has enjoyed two spells with QPR during his career

Millwall defender Marcus Bignot is desperate to start playing again as he edges closer to a return from injury.

The 34-year-old is yet to feature this season because of a knee injury and told BBC London 94.9: "As a footballer it's all about when Saturday comes.

"There's nothing better than playing, you work hard all week for that reason.

"It's disappointing but it makes it a little easier when the team are doing well. When the team are struggling, it does become frustrating."

He added: "We're in good form and that makes it a little bit easier but obviously I'd love to be playing."

Bignot has made just 14 appearances since moving across London from Queens Park Rangers in January.
