Barry Robson absence hit Middlesbrough - Tony Mowbray

Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray believes his side struggled due to the absence of midfielder Barry Robson in Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Coventry City.

Robson was forced to pull out with sickness before the game as Mowbray's Boro stretched their run without a win to four matches.

"There's a little bit of a bug going round," Mowbray told BBC Tees.

"In games like today Barry would have been a positive attribute for us with his tenacity and 100% attitude."

The Scotland international, 32, signed by Middlesbrough from Celtic by Gordon Strachan in January, has made 33 appearances, scoring seven goals.
