Yeates joined Middlesbrough from Colchester in July 2009
Middlesbrough winger Mark Yeates is determined to establish himself in the side before aiming for any personal goals at the Riverside Stadium.
The 24-year-old was a prolific scorer with former club Colchester United but is refusing to set himself targets to repeat the feat with his new club.
"I not putting pressure on myself," he told BBC Tees.
"The main thing is that we're getting results as a team. I just want to get three points, the rest is a bonus."
Boro have made a good start to the new campaign, with two wins and a draw from their first three matches.
And Yeates believes a key factor in the bright start from a side who had become a staple part of the Premier League, has been having the right mentality for Championship football.
"We're really pleased," he said. "We knew the Sheffield United game would be a battle and it was a tough one being on telly, the first game of the season, and that there'd be a lot of things around it.
"But, in the last two games, we played Scunthorpe at a little tiny ground and it opened everyone's eyes. And, at Swansea, everybody was pleased because we scored three goals away from home.
"We've got to keep it going. The gaffer was out there preparing us today and as a group the whole lot of us have acquitted ourselves right at this level.
"If we match teams in the battle then our quality is going to come through."
