Middlesbrough have completed the signing of 18-year-old Lyon midfielder Herold Goulon on a three-year contract. The French teenager, who spent three years at the French National Football Academy in Clarefontaine, will join Boro's reserve side.
"Herold is a tall, strong defensive midfielder with good technical ability," academy recruitment chief Ron Bone told the club website.
"We have high hopes of him progressing eventually to the first team."
