Mansfield skipper Ryan Williams believes beating league leaders Oxford can put their season back on track.
The 2-1 victory ended a run of five games without a win for the Stags and was Oxford's first loss of the season.
Williams set Mansfield on course for victory, grabbing their first goal with a lob from the edge of the box.
He told BBC Radio Nottingham: "We've got a long road ahead, it's only three points but at least it might put us back on the right road."
The win leaves Mansfield seventh in the table with 20 points.

Williams added: "We've been working really hard as a unit - we know we need to stick together if we want success.
"We showed a lot of guts. Hard work has paid dividends."
