Saunders took joint ownership of Mansfield Town in July 2008
Mansfield Town director Andy Saunders believes the club could lose up to £80,000 if the sports broadcaster Setanta collapses.
Setanta, who show Blue Square Premier matches through each season, has been holding emergency meetings to discuss plans to ensure its survival.
Saunders told BBC Radio Nottingham: "You could end up £50,000-80,000 short.
"The playing budget is not likely to be affected but there may be other areas where we have to look at cutbacks."
Saunders, who took joint control of Mansfield Town last July along with fellow businessmen Andy Perry and Steve Middleton, says they will re-assess their budget for next season.
"If the inevitable does happen to Setanta then we'll have to re-visit the budget and see where cutbacks could be made.
"What we would hope is that we'll get more people coming through the gate, more people buying programmes and taking corporate hospitality.
"All those things could add up to make up that shortfall."
