Manager David Holdsworth has made experienced striker Daryl Clare's move to Mansfield Town permanent by snapping him up on a one-year contract.
The 30-year-old's deal also includes an option to extend his stay by a year.
Clare, who initially joined the Stags on loan from Rushden & Diamonds in March, said: "I am delighted. This is a good club with exciting times ahead.
"I have a good feeling about being here and enjoyed working with the manager who is assembling a good young side."
Clare is one of the best-known players in non-league football, having won the Conference title with both Boston and Chester.
Having started his career in the Football League with Grimsby, he has also played for Northampton, Cheltenham, Crawley and Burton.
