Mansfield have rewarded defender Jake Buxton's impressive recent form with a new contract. The 19-year-old has signed a 12-month deal after impressing caretaker manager Carlton Palmer.
Buxton only played a handful of games earlier in the season, but has been a regular in the Stags first team since Palmer's arrival last November.
Meanwhile Stags midfielder Wayne Corden has held talks with several clubs as he looks to secure a move from Mansfield.
