Neville plans Man Utd return
Gary Neville
Gary Neville has been relegated to watching from the stands
Manchester United defender Gary Neville could be back in action again for club's Premiership game against Middlesbrough on 3 September.

Neville has been sidelined since April when he broke a metatarsal bone in his foot during a Champions League semi-final first leg encounter against Bayer Leverkusen.

"I'm hopefully going to play in a reserve-team game next week, another a week later and maybe then look to be part of the first team," Neville told MUTV.

"I would hope to be ready for selection in around two or three weeks."

Neville also said that he was not concerned that the current controversy surrounding Roy Keane and his autobiography would affect the United captain.

"No way will it affect Roy," added Neville.

"He moves on from one day to the next and whatever comes his way he takes it in his stride.

"He goes out three o'clock on a Saturday afternoon and is focused on what he wants to do."
