Escude in Rennes quarrel
Rennes defender Julien Escude

Defender Julien Escude is trying to force the hand of French club Rennes and speed up his move to Manchester United by training on his own.

Escude, 23, has refused to train with his team-mates and is growing increasingly frustrated that talks between Rennes and United have stalled.

"I told them on July 19 that I wanted to go," said 5m-rated Escude.

"I'm not going to change my decision.

"I am here for training but I am working alone, waiting for the next events to happen.

"Since I joined Rennes I have never complained, I have always worked without saying a word.

Either he stays or Manchester make an exceptional offer
Rennes president Pierre Dreossi

"In the past month I took part in all the training sessions as well as the friendlies we've played.

"But now I am tired. I see that things are not moving fast. It annoys me to act this way but I am trying to accelerate things."

Escude added: "I hope that we will get a happy ending for everyone - Rennes should not be too greedy.

"On the other hand, this is also Manchester's role to try again with a proper offer."

Rennes president Pierre Dreossi said "Either he stays or Manchester make an exceptional offer."
