Manchester United reserve-team winger Bojan Djordjic appears to be on the verge of leaving Old Trafford.

The 20-year-old naturalised Swede made several pre-season appearances and was named in United's Champions League squad.

But he did not travel to Hungary for Wednesday's game with Zalaegerszegi.

It would be good for me to get more playing time

A reserve-team regular last season, he has so far made only one first-team start, in the Worthington Cup defeat at Arsenal last November.

"There are reasons for me not going to Hungary," Djordjic told Swedish newspaper Expressen.

"We will have another meeting when they come back from the Champions League match.

"There might be a chance that I will stay, but I don't expect to be loaned to another club.

When questioned about his likely next move, the former Young Player of the Year at Old Trafford said: "I believe it will be abroad."

He added: "I have already rejected some clubs. I think it would be good for me to get more playing time."

The son of former Red Star Belgrade and Yugoslavia player Branko Djordjic, the youngster was signed from Swedish club Brommapojkarna IF in February 1999.

He completed the season with his old club before moving to Manchester for pre-season training that summer.

A left-sided winger, he was seen as long-term cover for Ryan Giggs.
