Elano says he is happy with life at Manchester City
Manchester City midfielder Elano has given a strong indication of his intention to remain at the club.
There had been speculation the 27-year-old Brazilian international could leave City during the summer.
Elano told BBC Radio Manchester: "My life is very important here. Manchester City and the national team are my life.
"My happiness, my football and my family are all very important to me. Working every day with Manchester City is very good, it's no problem."
Elano joined City in 2007 from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, and became an instant hit with the fans after a series of exciting, early displays.
But the £8m man has often struggled to find consistency in his form this season, being dropped to the bench in November, and fined £40,000 by manager Mark Hughes for a breach of club discipline.
A resurgence late in the season however, has seen him underline his importance to the starting line-up, orchestrating wins against Everton and Blackburn in recent weeks.
