Wigley managed Southampton for five months in 2004 |
Manchester City first-team coach Steve Wigley has followed former boss Stuart Pearce in leaving the club. Pearce was sacked by City on Monday after spending just over two years in charge at Eastlands.
Wigley initially joined City as reserve-team coach in May 2005 and was promoted by Pearce to work with the first team 12 months later.
He briefly managed Southampton in 2004 and had been youth team coach at St Marys before moving to City.
