Assistant manager Ray Mathias was thrilled after Macclesfield drew 1-1 with Notts County - the point they needed to remain in the League. Manager Paul Ince also made his Macc debut as an 85th-minute substitute.
"It wasn't the greatest of games, but it's not easy with the pitch being like that," Mathias explained.
"A lot of people forget that Paul is still a great player. He's very aggressive, he's still very physical and he can still pass and play."
