Luton's players have been asked to defer their wages by the Kenilworth Road club's administrators. The Hatters went into administration last week citing decreasing revenue and mounting liabilities and that triggered a 10-point deduction.
The administrators will try to work out a deal with the players next week.
Meanwhile the deadline for the club to respond to 17 Football Association charges relating to alleged breaches of regulations is now 10 December.
