Lincoln City's Steve Tilson targets leaders on pitch

Tilson's Imps have let in five goals or more in three home games this season

Lincoln City manager Steve Tilson says finding players with leadership qualities will be among his priorities after the Imps lost 6-0 to Rotherham.

Friday's defeat was their worst at home in 20 years and equalled their heaviest ever in the league at Sincil Bank.

Tilson told BBC Lincolnshire: "I've got to get two or three leaders in for next season, there's no doubt about that.

"We were so naive. If I'd been playing I would have said something out there but not one of them said a word."

The defeat by the Millers was the third time this season that the Imps had conceded five goals or more at home, following a 5-0 reverse against Bury in November and February's 5-1 defeat by Shrewsbury.

Tilson also felt the loss of captain Delroy Facey, who was ruled for the rest of the season with a dislocated shoulder in the draw at Macclesfield, had hit Lincoln hard.

"We're just such a nice side," he said. "Since Del went out, maybe the one leader we'd got on the pitch, we've got no leaders in the squad."
