Julian Kelly is a product of Arsenal's youth academy

Lincoln City have signed full-back Julian Kelly, 21, on a month's loan from Championship side Reading.

Kelly has been brought in by Imps boss Steve Tilson to replace fellow loanee Gavin Hoyte, who has returned to Arsenal with a hamstring injury.

Tilson told BBC Lincolnshire: "Gavin's done well for us but he's out for three weeks so I had to try to replace him.

"Julian played in the Championship and on loan at Wycombe in League One last season so he should do well for us."

Tilson added: "My intent is still to make a couple of permanent signings if possible."

Kelly, a product of Arsenal's youth academy, joined Reading in 2008 and has made 13 appearances for the Royals but played only once for them this season, in a Carling Cup tie in August.

He also made nine appearances in his loan spell at Wycombe and could make his Imps debut against them in their League Two match at Sincil Bank on Saturday.
