Lincoln City's Sincil Bank home may face separate sale
Bob Dorrian was only appointed Lincoln City chairman in June 2010
Lincoln City chairman Bob Dorrian has hinted that Sincil Bank may be left out of any deal with potential investors wanting control of the Imps.
City are known to be seeking new funding in the club, whose biggest shareholder is the Supporters Trust.
But Dorrian warned BBC Lincolnshire: "We're only likely to bring in an investor who wants control of the club.
"We're prepared to bring in someone who will own the club but that doesn't mean to say they would also own the ground."
He added: "It's a delicate balance from the board's point of view, because I can't imagine people putting money in and not having control."
Sincil Bank has been Lincoln's home since 1894. But Lincoln, who have been run as a community club for several years, announced a loss of £200,000 at their AGM on Thursday.
And Dorrian admitted that the Imps, 22nd in League Two, just four points off the bottom, were unlikely to overturn the deficit in the current financial year.
"Whilst we're not happy with the loss," he said, "we can quantify where the losses are and can mitigate the losses in the coming season.
"But I think the die is cast to a certain degree on this season and this financial year and I fear we may face a similar loss to this year."
