Drewe Broughton delighted by return to Lincoln City
Broughton has played for 17 clubs in the past 12 years
Lincoln City striker Drewe Broughton says he is pleased to be joining the Imps on a permanent basis after a loan spell at Sincil Bank last season.
Broughton, 31, made seven appearances on loan from Rotherham, who he left following their play-off final defeat.
He told BBC Lincolnshire: "I genuinely can't wait to get started, even though my season only ended three weeks ago.
"I'm too experienced to make silly predictions but I get a good feeling about what might happen."
Broughton admitted to being frustrated after being recalled by the Millers from his loan spell, only to find himself regularly among the substitutes.
I felt like I'd let Chris Sutton down as well because Lincoln were fighting for every point at the time
Drewe Broughton on going back to Rotherham
"I was under the impression that I was going back there to play because Rotherham were going through a sticky patch," he said.
"It was probably the most frustrating time in my 14 years as a player, culminating in me sitting on the bench at Wembley with the last 20 minutes of the match crying out for me to go on, but still it didn't happen.
"I felt like I'd let Chris Sutton down as well because Lincoln were fighting for every point at the time. I really enjoyed working for him so the decision to come back didn't take much thought."
