Lichaj has played two games for Lincoln since joining on loan

Lincoln City manager Chris Sutton has said he is hopeful of extending Aston Villa defender Eric Lichaj's loan spell at Sincil Bank.

Lichaj's one-month deal is set to expire before he returns from the three-match ban he is serving for being sent off in the defeat by Morecambe.

Sutton told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "I think he was excellent in the two games which he played.

"We've got to speak to Aston Villa but I'd love it if he did extend his loan."
