Lincoln City chairman Steff Wright says the Imps will receive money from a sell-on clause if Watford goalkeeper Scott Loach joins Tottenham.
The England under-21 international, who began as a trainee at Sincil Bank, has been linked with a £6m move to Spurs.
Wright told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "It would be good business for us.
"It would be great to see a player who has come through Lincoln's youth ranks in a multi-million pound move and for Lincoln to share the benefit."
The Imps have already received an extra £40,000 from Watford after Loach made 30 appearances for the Championship side.
The 21-year-old played in goal in England's 4-0 defeat by Germany in the final of the European under-21 Championships in Malmo, Sweden.
