Lincoln striker Anthony Elding was pleased to end his goal drought with the killer second in Tuesday night's 3-0 victory at Dagenham and Redbridge.
Elding, 26, on loan from Crewe, told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "It was a massive relief for me.
"I've not scored in seven games. But I've been trying and the goal has come off the back of my hard work."
Aaron Brown and Janos Kovacs were also on target for City in a win that lifted the Imps to 12th in League Two.
Despite being one of manager Peter Jackson's preferred choices up front, Elding has been suffering with a lack of confidence in front of goal.
He had not scored since hitting the equaliser against high-riding Brentford on his debut back in January.
But he has made no secret of the fact that he would like to stay at Sincil Bank past his loan spell when it ends on 4 April.
