Jackson's contract extension would keep him at the club until 2011
Lincoln City manager Peter Jackson has said he will hold talks with chairman Steff Wright on Thursday about signing a contract extension with the club.
Jackson verbally agreed a two-year deal in September but said he would not sign until he felt he had earned it and the team's results improved.
He told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "The contract will be signed and it needs to be sorted out sooner rather than later.
"Hopefully by next week there will be some movement there."
After Jackson accepted the offer of the extension, which will keep him at Sincil Bank until the summer of 2011, Lincoln went on a run of five wins and two draws which earned him the League Two manager of the month award for October.
But they failed to win a single game in November and a news conference, at which the club was expected to announce the signing of Jackson's contract, was cancelled.
Since then speculation has been rife among fans as to when and if Jackson would put pen to paper.
Lincoln are currently 11th in League two, seven points adrift of the play-off places.
